A big meeting.

On July 9, we had a big meeting with Vietnamese group, Sagami Women’s University group, Tama Technical High School group, and voluntary members, 35 participants in total.

There were reports before the meeting that Covid-19 was in its ninth wave in Japan. Many people from various locations in the Kanto area and surrounding prefectures attend our activities. So the meeting on that day was held in such a way that would avoid working close to each other and also require the wearing of masks.

We had a little rain just before the afternoon session started. Taking care not to wet the wheelchairs, we continued our refurbishing work. We’ve finished cleaning and refurbishing 15 units, making 71 units complete in total. We now expect to ship 90 wheelchairs to Vietnam.

Once again, many Vietnamese members came to this meeting. Every time, there are many first-time participants, and it is hard for the staff to support them, but since this project is for Vietnam, many people come. We are grateful to them.

Lots of people coming and working hard.

Mr. Dan, a Vietnamese resident in Japan, brought us a nice, good-conditioned wheelchair, saying that his friend, who owns a recycling shop, had asked him to send one in his shop with our wheelchairs to Vietnam. (With President Morita)

There were so many that President Morita (front left) and Mr. Yamashita (behind President), who has been participating for a long time, posed to show their faces from the side, and all of us ended up in the photo.
Thank you all for your hard work.
