About thirty participants met today and did refurbishing work for Myanmar.
The weather report said we would have changeable weather and we did have rain and strong wind while we were working under the big roof, but they were not strong enough to stop our work fortunately, and we finished the work as scheduled.
There was not much space outside and we did packing in the warehouse.
As well as refurbishing work, which is the most significant for children’s safety and wheelchairs’durability, we need to do packing with great care so as to keep wheelchairs in good condition during transportation.
In order to prevent damage and to load into the container efficiently we try to fold wheelchairs and make them compact. Packing itself seems rather easy, but there are a few points we should be careful such as how to stick scotch tape and masking tape, and experienced members and beginners work together, checking these points.
After finishing the refurbishing work, we put each wheelchair our NGO sticker with its number on. Next, we take a photo of each wheelchair with its number card and make a photo list. Then we pack these wheelchairs.
