Luckily it turned a fine weather in spite of our worries about the 11th typhoon. In the fierce heat of 35 degrees centigrade, the first refurbishing work for the Philippines was done and 30 wheelchairs were completed.
Along with the regular members, Sagami Women’s College group and Vietnamese team, there were new participants from Fussa High School, teachers and 15 students and volunteers through Fussa Volunteering Association. Over 50 participants in total joined the work joyfully, no one caught heat illness, and all the work was finished as scheduled.
The refurbishing work continues in August and September and 90 wheelchairs are planned to be completed.
